Visitors are also advised to bring swimwear, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, a change of clothes and mosquito repellent. 6. Elephant Expedition

Elephant Expedition is another great zoo program for elephant enthusiasts. Visitors can climb aboard one of the world’s largest land animals on comfortable bench seats. From your high vantage point, you’ll be treated to views of the exotic zoo and tropical plants. This tour crosses rivers, visits waterfalls, and passes through beautiful grassy valleys. The Elephant Expedition trip lasts approximately 20 minutes. You also have the opportunity to thank the elephants by feeding and petting them after boarding!

7. Night at the Zoo

After public opening hours end, Bali Zoo reopens with the Night at the Zoo program. Starting from 18:00 to 21:00, visitors can explore the zoo grounds after dark. If you have a spare evening while on holiday in Bali, this is one experience you don’t want to miss. You will interact with a variety of nocturnal animals that are usually not very active during the day during their prime hours. Night at the Zoo is always popular with both adults and children.

Your nighttime adventure will start at the zoo’s Deer Park, where guests are welcome to feed the deer with the vegetables provided. The next stop is Wana Plaza which provides a variety of drinks and appetizers as well as the opportunity to meet other residents of the night zoo. Dinner starts at 19:00, and diners will be treated to an a la carte menu featuring Indian cuisine as well as vegetarian and barbecue dishes.

After dinner, it’s time for the main event: a torchlight tour led by a knowledgeable zoo guide. You can see a variety of different animals, including binturongs, snakes, owls, and more. The main location for tasting food includes Wantilan Restaurant, an open-air restaurant that serves a selection of Indonesian and Western dishes.
