Nusa Penida Island
“Location In Nusa Penida Island – Klungkung”
Nusa Penida is a much smaller island than Bali, and relatively undeveloped compared to Bali. However, it has some of the most photogenic spots in Indonesia. Think sheer rocky cliff sides, oceans so blue you won’t believe it, and the most spectacular beaches you’ve ever seen. Plus, it’s actually quite easy and cheap to take a day trip to Nusa Penida from Bali.
How to Get to Nusa Penida From Bali:
The easiest and most popular option is to take a speedboat from Sanur Beach. There are a number of operators to choose from; boats usually depart in the morning and afternoon.
You can book tickets by chatting with us and checking the prices below, and we try to give you the best discounts. but you have to book it at least one day in advance, and the next day you have to come to Sanur Beach very early in the morning and buy the tickets you booked yesterday directly from the operator, but make sure you get there early so you have enough time.
Places of interest on Nusa Penida Island
The tourist attractions below are places that can be reached and we can help you in 1 day.
West Trip Nusa Penida Island
Kelingking Beach
Is the most famous and popular place on Nusa Penida Island and also describes the beauty of Bali. Kelingking Beach is a spectacular rock outcrop facing the sea. The rocks look like the spine of a dinosaur that came to drink sea water. The view there is amazing, but if you have the courage and time, you can go down to the beach. Wear good shoes and be careful when going down to the beach because there are strong waves and currents. Visiting Kelingking Beach will be a very pleasant experience!
Broken Beach
Broken Beach was formed by the collapse of part of the cliff. The collapsed part has a round shape. Then formed an arch at the narrowest part at the edge of the sea. Overall, it looks like a circular bay with an arch leading to the sea. The point is, please see the photos, it’s easier than trying to explain! The beach (which is very small) is not accessible. But maybe you can see manta rays from the cliff.
Angel’s Billabong
Angels Billabong is a natural pool formed in the cliffs. It fills up at high tide and retains crystal clear water at low tide. Be very careful not to swim there at high tide as the waves can sweep you out and your chances of getting back in are slim.
Crystal bay
Crystal Bay combines the beauty of a sandy beach that is easily accessible by road and a spectacular coral reef located in the middle of the bay. The beach faces west and often features spectacular sunsets. Crystal Bay is also a famous site for diving. If you are not into diving, you can still rent masks, snorkels and swimming shoes on site. However, be careful not to cross the line of boats anchored in the bay, as the currents can be very strong.
Manta Bay Snorkling
Snorkeling Manta bay Nusa Penida is one of the most popular tourist activities in Bali. A unique and amazing experience with a closer encounter with beautiful sea animals and the big Manta creatures is a fun thing.
Gamat Bay
Gamat Bay is one of the tourist attractions in Nusa Penida, but it is not as easily accessible as Crystal Bay. By land you can reach the top of the hill overlooking the beach. And then go down following a fairly easy path. Gamat Bay is also much more remote. Which means you probably won’t see anyone there. Except for snorkeling or diving in the morning. If you want to snorkel from Gamat Bay beach, you can bring your own equipment or rent it on the side of the road, before parking your motorbike. And don’t forget fins because the currents can be very strong, as is often the case on the island of Nusa Penida.
East Trip Nusa Penida Island
Atuh Beach and Diamond Beach
Atuh Beach and Diaomod Beach are next to each other, and this beach is famous for the stairs carved into the cliff to reach the beach. A must-visit for those who love taking photos for social media. Atuh Beach is especially fun for swimming during high tide because the waves and currents are not too strong.
Rumah Pohon
Reported from the Tripcanvas page, Rumah Pohon Batu Molenteng is located in Banjar Pelilit, Pejukutan Village, Nusa Penida, Klungkung, Bali. Travelers will be spoiled with the amazing view of Atuh Beach from above. The panorama of small islands, towering cliffs, and rows of hills will make travelers gasp in awe.
Travelers don’t need to worry about having to climb a tree to reach the top of the tree house, because it is equipped with stairs. Travelers can have a picnic at Rumah Pohon Batu Molenteng, so don’t forget to prepare food and other equipment.
Pulau Seribu (Thousand Islands)
Panorama of Thousand Islands of Nusa Penida or better known as Raja Lima Nusa Penida is a very interesting island located across from the island of Bali. The view of the blue sea with several towering coral mounds resembling an island adorns this tourist area.
Many domestic and foreign tourists are willing to climb and descend the cliffs in order to see the beauty of the thousand islands of Nusa Penida firsthand. Located in one area of East Nusa Penida which is better known as the Thousand Islands Viewpoint.

Protect yourself – remember, you will likely be in the sun all day, so be sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and maybe a sarong to cover yourself.
